Advantages

 It’s warm! And the underwater visibility is usually fantastic!

 If you generally learn things quickly, both practical and theory, this can be another very quick way for you to gain a qualification.

Disadvantages

Not always ideal, if you are struggling with a particular skill, due to time constraints on the holiday, and you have a lot to cram in.

You are using up a week’s holiday, and you may not enjoy diving anyway! 

Student to pupils ratios may be larger than one to one.

If you learn in warm water, you’re likely to need additional training before going diving in the UK – where conditions can be colder and the visibility poorer.
